Our goal at Bea’s Love Closet is to provide clothing to the residents of Jackson County, especially those living in Summit Township and in the City of Jackson. We are always willing to accept donations of new and gently used clothing of all sizes, for men, women, boys, and girls. While we will accept any donation, there are certain items that we are especially in need of. This list will be updated regularly. Below are our biggest needs as of February 22, 2011.
Summer clothing, especially for elementary school age children
Socks for children, men, and women
Undergarments for children, men, and women
Jeans and slacks for men
Storage shelves and plastic bins
Volunteers!
To make a donation, please contact Lynn at 517-240-8208 to arrange a drop-off time. If it is easier for you, we can also pick up the clothing from you. Thank you for your interest in helping with this ministry!

We are collecting prom dresses and accessories for Operation Prom Princess. This is a program that will allow young girls who can not afford a dress to still attend prom. Please let us know if you have anything that you would be willing to donate.
I would like to furnish clothing, please let me know when where and what time

Lynn,
Once a year at our church, we have a garage sale. There is a local cleaner who makes donations to the church for our sale. Any items not claimed per their policy are donated to us. Perhaps you could contact cleaners in your area to see if they could do the same for BLC.
This same facility offers free cleaning for coats that we collect and donate to a local shelter here. It’s a tax deduction for them, and a tremendous blessing for us and for those who need coats.
Maybe a local business could help you in a similar way?
BTW: I’m really proud of the work you’re doing and wish I were closer and could help you.
